52 Essays: A Challenge in Review

Earlier this year I decided to take this essay challenge. I came into it knowing my commitment issues and procrastinating tendencies. Still, it was an experience I knew I wouldn't want to pass up.

Having the topic freedom was cool and let me know a lot of what I'm going through that week is a theme in my life that I cant dive deeper into. Most times I wrote, I thought there wouldn't be much to say; and then I'd end up pages deep into a seemingly little thought.

This challenge encourages me to step my vernacular up. Most times I couldn't think of a word strong enough to convey what I meant, but I know it's out there.

I'll be in Haiti for 2 weeks. Among family and fresh air the wounds and woes of these past 52 weeks will be lifted away. This is my last essay for the year.

Alas, my journey ends this 2017 with the 52 Essays Challenge. It has been a great learning experience that helps me keep my writing juices flowing. I had so much fun doing this and wish I committed to the weekly deadlines more regularly. Yet, 2018 is another opportunity to take this challenge by the reigns and have fun with it!
