Last night Bed-Stuy was honored to have Impossible Odds at Tilly's BKLYN for his premiere performance at this new family bar. If you made it to the show, you know it was a dope night, if you didn't, here's a scoop on how it went down.
I'll get to Impossible Odds, charming Brooklyn emcee who believes in spreading love the Brooklyn way, but first let's talk about this venue! With exposed brick, hanging low lights and delicious food and drinks, Tilly's BKLYN gave me a rustic and cozy feel. No need to bar hope if this is your first stop of your night on the town! You can eat and enjoy happy hour, drink some more, dance, sit and vibe, network, whatever! Tilly's BKLYN is definitely a vibe and I was delighted to enjoy Impossible Odds performing there.
Ok back to Impossible Odds! Polished and dashing artist coming with gritty lyrics and boom bap swag. Impossible Odds absolutely wooed the crowd and gave a fun and dope show! With his illustrious band bringing hip hop/ jazz syncopations for their live gig, the audience couldn't help but gage this act. There were many saxophone solos from Chris, hype from the DJ and ongoing freestyles from the rapper himself, Impossible Odds.
Impossible Odds' performance included various songs from his catalog, showing his emotional side with tracks like "Falling in Love", his wordsmith side with "Hip Hop's Alive in Me" and his Brooklyn love with "BROOKLYN"! Impossible Odds and his band had a great time and put on an amazing show for dope fans and Brooklyn locals. "There's great energy in here," the artist states on stage, "because there's love in here." Affirming his belief in the great and late B.I.G's philosophy.
Do yourself a favor a come to the next Impossible Odds show and have a lychee mimosa at Tilly's BKLYN!
